LEBANON-PARLIAMENT-DIALOGUE
Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah (L) speaks with members of his delegation MPs Mohammed Fneish (C) and Mohammed Raad during the roundtable national dialogue at the parliament building in downtown Beirut 02 March 2006. This is the first meeting of Lebanese parties without Syrian sponsorship since the 1975-1990 civil war and comes 10 months after Damascus withdrew its troops from the country. The meeting will touch on three sensitive topics: the Shiite party Hezbollah-s continued right to bear arms, opposition demands for Lahoud-s resignation and Beirut-s strained ties with Damascus.
