This picture provided by Chicago-s Field Museum 08 March 2006 shows a fossilized Dimetrodon grandis, one of the most formidable carnivores of the Permian Period more than 250 million years ago, which can be seen at the museum’s new Evolving Planet exhibition. The Field Museum has joined a growing number of institutions fighting back against the unscientific yet popular Creationist theory of intelligent design with a new permanent exhibit detailing how evolution links everything that has ever lived on earth.
