SERBIA-MONTENEGRO-KOSOVO-CEKU
Former guerrilla commander Agim Ceku (L) listens to a speech in the Kosovo Parliament before his election as Kosovo prime minister 10 March 2006. Deputies in the 120-seat assembly endorsed Ceku-s candidacy and his new government by 65 votes for, while 33 were against the decision. Five deputies abstained. Ceku, who led ethnic Albanian rebels against Serbian forces during Kosovo-s 1998-1999 war, was nominated prime minister last week after Bajram Kosumi was forced into resigning by his own party.
