ROMANIA-MAGYARS-JOSZEF-TRANSLYVANIA-INDEPENDANCE
Csapo Joszef, president of the National Szeclers Council (NSC) gesture whille reading the a speach 15 March 2006 during a demonstration attended by around 10.000 people in Odorheiul Secuiesc, 300km north from Bucharest. Thousands of ethnic Hungarians gathered in Romania-s Transylvanian region on 15 March to hear calls for more independence from Bucharest and celebrate a Hungarian national holiday. The NSC stated that the territorial autonomy is the only viable alternative for maintaining the identity of the Magyars from Romania, Joszef also said that the will of those whom he represents is to identify as many regions in Transylvania, inhabited by Magyar ethnics, which should receive a special status.
