Iraqi policemen inspect the site where a car bomb exploded in central Baghdad, 18 March 2006. Two people were wounded in the blast. Five Shiites walking on a pilgrimage to the shrine city of Karbala were wounded by a roadside bomb in western Baghdad this morning, an interior ministry official said. The latest attack against the Shiite faithful heading south followed the killing of three pilgrims in the same area yesterday, while a roadside bomb blast claimed the life of one pilgrim and wounded four others south of the capital.
