FRANCE-EGYPT-AVIATION-ACCIDENT-REPORT

A relative of French tourists killed when a Egyptian charter jet crashed in the Red Sea near Sharm el-Sheikh, shows pictures of a victim reading "departure France. Return Egypt" 25 March 2006 in front of the Transports Ministry in Paris, before a meeting with Dominique Perben, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure, Tourism and the Sea, to obtain the final report submitted by the Egyptian authorities. Egypt on Saturday concluded that technical failure and pilot "disorientation" caused a 2004 airplane crash that killed 148 people shortly after taking off from a Red Sea resort town. The chief Egyptian investigator, Shaker Qelada, said his final investigation report found that the automatic pilot system had not functioned properly and that the pilot suffered from "spatial disorientation."
