SWEDEN-POLITICS-CABINET-ELIASSON
Swedish Prime Minister Goeran Persson (R) announces 27 March 2006 the appointment as foreign minister of Jan Eliasson, who currently serves as president of the United Nations general assembly, replacing Laila Freivalds. Eliasson will take his new position 24 April 2006.
