FRANCE-ART-CEZANNE-STATUE
Dutch sculptor Gabriel Sterk (C) who made the bronze statue of French painter Paul CA©zanne (1839-1906) sets it up on a square in Aix-en Provence, Southern France, 03 April 2006, as part of commemorations to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his death. Considered one of the great forerunners of modern painting, Cezanne was born in Aix-en-Provence on January 19, 1839. Although he traveled elsewhere in France, especially to Paris, he was always drawn back to his native Provence. AFP PHOTO ANNE-CHRISTINE POUJOULAT
