FRANCE-JAPAN-LASSALLE-FILE

(FILES) A file photo taken 27 March 2006 shows French center-right UDF party deputy Jean Lassalle giving a press conference at the National Assembly in Paris. Lassalle, who has camped out at parliament in Paris since 07 March 2006, is entering 03 April 2006 his fifth week of hunger strike to stop an alleged plan to move a Japanese-owned factory that makes aluminium manufacturing powder in his Accous constituency in the Aspe valley in the Pyrenees. Japan-s Toyo Aluminium denied 03 April 2006 it planned to relocate the factory in France and urged Lassalle to end his hunger strike over the allegation. Toyo Aluminium said it had no plans to remove the factory run by its subsidiary Toyal Europe and was even considering expanding the plant, which now employs 150 people. AFP PHOTO / JEAN AYISSI
