ITALY-DA VINCI-DRAWING
Industrialist Giancarlo Ligabue (L) and expert Professor Luisa Cogliati Arano pose infront of the drawing of the head of an old woman, a piece Ligabue bought in Venice in the 1970s and officially attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, after it was unveiled in the Doges- Palace in Venice 15 June 2006. The sketch of a head with deformed, monstrous features was sold to Ligabue as being "in the manner" of da Vinci, but scientific examinations by Professor Cogliati Arano confirmed that it is indeed by Leonardo da Vinci.
