Iraqis inspect wreckage of a Shiite mosque, 29 June 2006 that was bombed yesterday night in the restive city of Baquba, northeast of Baghdad. Iraqi Sunni rebels were seen hardening their conditions to lay down arms as urged by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in his peace plan, a lawmaker said, but a foreign diplomat expressed doubt over the negotiations with the rebels and their identity.
