Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday criticized Britain and other states that have offered protection to people that Russia considers suspected terrorists. "It is hard for us to understand how it is that people accused of terrorism are not extradited but are instead given political asylum," Putin said in an address to a conference of European state prosecutors held in conjunction with Russia-s current chairmanship of the Council of Europe.
