The German government hopes that this weekend's Group of Eight (G8) summit in Saint Petersburg, Russia, will send a signal to the energy markets and help ease concerns about runaway oil prices, government sources said 14 July. Energy will be one of the main issues topping the agenda for three-day summit which starts 15 July.
