MIDEAST-ISRAEL-LEBANON-INCURSION
An Israeli armored personnel carrier operates inside Lebanon after crossing through Israel's northern border at Avivim, south of the Lebanese village of Marun al-Ras, a strategic hilltop that has been the scene of heavy fighting with Hezbollah in the past few days, 22 July 2006. Around 10 Israeli armoured vehicles today crushed the border fence and entered Lebanon, driving past a UN observation post, an AFP correspondent reported. AFP PHOTO/DAVID FURST
