People cue at a cinema in Havana to watch a movie about the life of legendary musician Benny More, on August 1st, just a day after Cuban President Fidel Castro temporarily ceded power to his brother Raul for the first time, after undergoing surgery. The elderly but still-fiery leftist leader, who has clung to power for 47 years as Latin America's only communist strongman and who turns 80 on August 13, said in a statement that he would be out for "several weeks of rest" following the operation to stem intestinal bleeding.
