HAITI-UN-ANNAN-ARRIVAL
UN General Secretary Kofi Annan(3rd L) visits Port-au-Prince, Haiti 03 August 2006. UN Secretary General Annan had to earlier postpone the two-day trip to Haiti after the plane that was to take him suffered technical problems on the runway, a UN spokesman said. The UN chief has been scheduled to hold talks with Haiti's President Rene Preval, Prime Minister Jacques-Edouard Alexis and Foreign Minister Jean Reynald Clerisme as well as address a joint meeting of Haiti's parliament.
