LEBANON-MIDEAST-ISRAEL-UNREST
An Israeli navy ship stands guard in the Mediterranean sea off the southern Lebanese port city of Tyre 08 August 2006. Israel tightened its blockade around Tyre today, saying it would bomb any moving vehicle, amid growing alarm as supplies of food and fuel dwindle. Israel dropped leaflets on the region warning all remaining residents not to drive south of the Litani river, whose mouth is 7 kms north of the city -- or risk being bombed.
