Iraqi Kurdish police clash 09 August 2006 with protesters during a rally in Kalr Suleimaniya, north of Baghdad. Scores of Kurds in the village threw stones today at the building of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan over bad public services in the city. The demonstrators who gathered before the building of the ruling party and started throwing stone, according to eyewitnesses. The witnesses said the angry demonstrators clashed with the police who arrived the scene to disperse them. The demonstrators, most of them youngsters also burnt tires and put stones on the way leading to the provincial capital. AFP PHOTO/SHAWAN MOHAMMED
