US-LITTLE HAVANA-CLUB
A crowd dances to the rythmic sound of Congas at a local latin club in Calle Ocho (8th street), the main street of the Little Havana district of Miami in the early morning of 11 August, 2006. The club was called Cafe Nostalgia, and now is the Hoy Como Ayer (Today As Yesterday) catered to an older Latin generation crowd, but has attracted in the last few years a younger Latin crowd by presenting Fuacata or music that mixes latin and classic Cuban music with funk, hip hop, and modern sounds. Little Havana is the area of Miami settled by many Cubans, often fleeing the regime of Cuban leader Fidel Castro. AFP PHOTO/ROBERTO SCHMIDT
