(FILES) A picture dated 16 August 1996 shows Marc Dutroux, the paedophile at the centre of Belgium's child abduction and murder scandal, flanked by police as he leaves the Court House of Neufchateau. Ten years ago, Belgian police arrested child killer Marc Dutroux, uncovering a case of kidnapping, rape and murder that would scar the country long afterwards. The Dutroux case broke with his arrest on August 13, 1996 after police tracked down the unemployed electrician with the licence plate of his van, which was spotted on the scene where a 14-year-old girl, Laetitia Delhez, was abducted four days before in Neufchateau in southeastern Belgium.
