CZECH-POLITICS-PARLIAMENT
Social Democrat (CSSD) deputy Miloslav Vlcek (L) addresses Czech Parliament aftert he was elected 14 August 2006 in Prague the Chamber of Deputies speaker by a majority of 174 votes out of the 197 cast in the secret ballot today, thus paving the path for Jiri Paroubekcs outgoing cabinet to resign, lower house electoral commission head Petr Tluchor has announced. Vlcek should head the Chamber only temporarily, in accordance with his pledge before the vote. Vlcek, 45, is expected to resign in a moment the lower house chairman is possibly supposed to choose a PM-designate. Other MPs are unidentified. AFP PHOTO MICHAL CIZEK
