A Lebanese Shiite cleric retrieves his personal belongings from his destroyed home 15 August 2006, a day after the UN-brokered ceasefire went into effect, at Hezbollah's security perimeter in the southern suburbs of Beirut. A fragile ceasefire in the Lebanon war was holding despite sporadic violence as Hezbollah claimed a "historic victory" but Israeli leaders faced recriminations at home over the conflict.
