CHILE-STRIKE-ESCONDIDA MINE
Unionized workers at Minera Escondida, the world's largest copper mine, wait to vote in Antofagasta, 1200 km north of Santiago, Chile, 21 August 2006. Workers continue on strike Monday after rejecting a settlement offer from the site's majority owners, Anglo-Australian mining giant BHP Billiton late Sunday.
