Hazmat workers enter the Russell Senate Office building on Capitol Hill 04 February, 2004 in Washington, D.C. All three Senate office buildings are closed due to Ricin-contaminated mail found in the Dirksen Senate building 02 February. Ricin is a toxin drived from the castor bean, and can be deadly. Early symptoms include fever, stomach ache and vomiting. Multiple organ failure resulting in death can occur within 36 to 72 hours. There is no antidote.
