US-CIGARS-CALLE OCHO-FACTORY
Cuban-born Carlos Ydavoy, 64, takes a close look at cigars on his working station at the El Credito Cigar Factory in the Little Havana district of Miami 23 August 2006. Ydavoy chooses the order in which the cigars go into the box. He does this by lining up the cigars according to the tone of the outer leaf. The factory, located in Calle Ocho street for 35 years, produces some 1,400 hand-rolled tobaccos daily. The workers which clean the leafs, roll the cigars and pack the cigars are paid anywhere from 46 cents to 72 cents per unit. A "roller" will produce about 150 cigars a day. AFP PHOTO/Roberto Schmidt
