Karr, 41, was transferred from California where he was being held following his arrest in Thailand on a US warrant in Bangkok on 16 August. Karr was already wanted in California for possession of child pornography, but he reportedly confessed to Thai police that he had murdered beauty star JonBenet Ramsey almost ten years ago in a lurid crime case that transfixed much of the country for years. Ramsey was found beaten and strangled in the basement wine cellar of her wealthy parents' Boulder home on December 26, 1996.
