SPAIN-IMMIGRATION
Some 94 would-be illegal immigrants arrive on a cayuco at the port of Los Cristianos on the Spanish Canary Island of Tenerife, 05 September 2006. Amid growing concern in the islands and on the mainland, where increasingly the migrants are left to fend for themselves, First Deputy Prime Minister Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega insisted that Spain will "not tolerate that they keep on coming."
