US-SPACE-SHUTTLE
This handout picture received 08 September 2006 shows (L-R) NASA Administrator Michael Griffin, NASA Associate Administrator for Space Operations William Gerstenmaier and NASA manager of the Space Shuttle Program Wayne Hale in Firing Room 4 of the Launch Control Center, as they go through checks leading up to the launch scrub of STS-115. The launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis was scrubbed until 09 September due to a problem with one of the vehicle's external tank ECO sensor system. The STS-115 crew members of Atlantis will install the P3/P4 integrated truss and a second set of solar arrays on the International Space Station, doubling the stations current ability to generate power from sunlight and adding 17.5 tons to its mass.
