Kazakh Alexandre Vinokurov of Astana is kissed by stewards after receiving the gold leaders jersey after the seventeenth stage of the Tour of Spain between Adra and Granada, 13 September 2006. Kazakh Alexandre Vinokurov (R) of Astana was second and Spain's Samuel Sanchez of Euskaltel-Euskadi was third. Vinokourov, riding for Astana, joined Danielson on a late break to come in second to the Discovery Channel rider and grab the leader's gold jersey by just nine seconds from Spaniard Valverde.
