SWEDEN-VOTE
People arrive at the Karlskrona polling station in southern Sweden to cast their vote for the general elections held across Sweden 17 September 2006. Swedes voted Sunday in the country's tightest election race in decades, with opinion polls predicting defeat for Prime Minister Goeran Persson at the hands of a center-right opposition that has vowed to improve the welfare state.
