WARCRIMES-CROATIA-DUBROVNIK-STRUGAR

Both the prosecution and the defence have withdrawn their appeals against the eight-year sentence of former Yugoslav general Pavle Strugar, convicted of warcrimes over the 1991 siege of Dubrovnik, Croatia, the UN war crimes court announced 18 September 2006. The decision to withdraw the appeals means that Strugar's conviction and eight year sentence are final.
