BULGARIA-ROMANIA-EU-ENLARGMENT-FEATURE
Bulgarians talk on a street in Sofia backdropped by the European Union flag 27 September 2006. European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso and Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn congratulated Bulgaria on Wednesday for "well-deserving" go-ahead to join the European Union next year but urged the Balkan state to "ensure the continuity and irreversibility of reforms".
