Former captain of the French troops, Leandre Boguy, arrives at the headquarters of the veterans associations in the Ivory Coast for their general assembly 28 September 2006 in Abidjan. France said yesterday it is to raise the pensions of war veterans from its former colonies who fought in its armed forces to the same level as their French counterparts, lifting a four-decade freeze widely seen as unjust.
