US Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Melson J. Bacos (C), Military Defense Council Marine Lt. Col. Scott Jack (L)and Civilian Defense Council Jeremiah Sullivan (R red tie) arrive for Bacos’ court-martial proceedings on 06 October 2006 at Camp Pendleton, California. Bacos is charged with murder and other offenses for his alleged involvement in the death of an Iraqi civilian on 26 April 2006, near Hamdaniyah, Iraq. Bacos could have the charges against him dropped in exchange for his testimony about Cpl. Marshall L.
