US-RESEARCH-RED WINE-LONGEVITY-OBESITY
Alex Andavert stocks the shelves with bottles of red wine at Old Vines Wine & Spirits on 01 November 2006 in Miami, Florida. A study by the Harvard Medical School and the National Institute on Aging showed that obese mice benifited from consuming huge doses of the red wine extract, resveratrol, and had a healthy effect on the fat-related ill effects. Resveratrol is found in the skin of grapes used to make red wine. Joe Raedle/Getty Images/AFP =FOR NEWSPAPER, INTERNET, TELCOS AND TELEVISION USE ONLY=
