(FILES) In this 20 June 2006 file photo, US actor Tom Cruise greets fans before the premiere of his new movie "Mission Impossible III" in Tokyo. Cruise has struck a deal with movie giant Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to make films under the mothballed United Artists banner. A 02 November 2006 statement from MGM said Cruise and production partner Paula Wagner would head the relaunch of United Artists (UA), the legendary studio founded by the likes of movie greats Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, D.W. Griffith and Charlie Chaplin 85 years ago. AFP PHOTO/Toru YAMANAKA/FILES
