Fiji's national flag is lowered at Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Suva amid fears a confrontation between the government and military could lead to another coup, 05 November 2006. Fijian Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has refused to resign despite threats from military commander Voreqe (Frank) Bainimarama that the army was prepared to force the government to step down.
