FIJI-UNREST-TRIAL-RABUKA
Former Fiji prime minister and two-time coup leader Sitiveni Rabuka leaves the Supreme Court in Suva, 07 November 2006, where he appeared on charges of inciting a military mutiny in 2000 in which eight soldiers were killed. The mutiny was associated with the South Pacific country's coup the same year and the trial is starting amid renewed coup fears following repeated threats by military commander, Commodore Voreqe (Frank) Bainimarma to unseat the government of Laisenia Qarase.
