Lebanese leaders broke off from roundtable talks to look at proposals for a possible government change sought by the pro-Syrian Hezbollah but rejected by opponents as a bid by Damascus to regain influence in Beirut politics. Berri said the 48-hour break was to allow participants to study "various proposals" presented during the second day of crucial talks aimed at ending Lebanon's crippling political stalemate.
