AUSTRALIA-G20-FINANCE-SUMMIT-OPENING-BERNANKE
US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke (R) and UK Treasury Secretary Stephen Timms (L) listen to proceedings at the opens of the Group of 20 (G20) meeting of finance ministers and central bankers from the world's leading developed and developing nations, in Melbourne 18 November 2006. The meeting of the world most powerful economic leaders opened amid tight security as anti-globalisation protesters prepared to rally in Australia's second largest city. The two-day meeting aims to provide a forum for leaders to discuss issues such as global warming, reforming global financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and stabilising energy supply and prices.
