HONG KONG-CHINA-POLLUTION-FOOD

Hong Kong food safety officials is meeting their mainland Chinese counterparts this week over food supply of turbot fish, treated with antibiotics and eggs contaminated with carcinogenic dyes. Imports of many species of farmed fish and eels from mainland China were banned last year after cancer-causing industrial dyes were found in some samples.
