German CEO of VW Forest factory, Norbert Steingraber looks across 28 November 2006 during a press conference at the end of a meeting with union representatives and members of the board of directors in Groot-Bijgaarden / Grand-Bigard. Last week the company announced the loss of around 4,000 jobs at VW's Forest factory in southwestern Brussels, the biggest employer in the Belgian capital, with many believing the move is just a precursor to a total closure of the plant, which currently employs more than 5,000 people.
