SURFING-HAWAI-SUNSET-PARKINSON
Three times ASP world champion and defending Triple Crown of Surfing champion Andy Irons (Kauai, Haw) is seen surfing the O’Neill World Cup at Sunset Beach, Hawaii 06 December 2006. Irons was beaten by an eventual winner Joel Parkinson and rookie Jordy Smith (ZAF) in the final and had to settle for third place, but retains his lead on the Triple Crown ratings.The O’Neill World Cup of Surfing is the final event on the 2006 ASP WQS season and will determine who will qualify for the 2007 Fosters Men’s ASP World Tour.
