Yemeni journalists Nadia Abdul Aziz al-Sakkaf, editor in chief of the Yemen Times, holds her trophy under a picture of Gebran Tueini in Beirut 10 December 2006. Al-Sakkaf won the first Gebran Tueini award delivered by the "Press Under Siege" conference. The conference explored efforts of Arab media to win their independence and freedom in an environment of continuing repression and harassment.
