A youth member of the local karting club shows his helmet reading "Ciao Clay" while the hearse containing Clay Regazzoni's coffin leaves 21 December 2006 the Lugano basilica after the funeral. Swiss racing car driver Clay Regazzoni, who finished second to Emerson Fittipaldi in the 1974 Formula One world drivers' championship, died in a car accident near Parma, Italy on 15 December 2006. The driver 67-year-old, born in Lugano, Switzerland, competed in 132 Grands Prix between 1970 and 1980, and won five Grand Prix and five pole positions. Most of his career was with Ferrari.
