Nicolas Sarkozy's efforts to cultivate celebrities to support his French presidential campaign seem to be backfiring, with one after another proving a public embarrassment. On the weekend, it was the turn of Doc Gyneco, a famous French rapper, to earn headlines. The musician ran into a taxi on his moped in the early hours of 07 January 2007 and a police breathalyser test showed him to be three times over the blood alcohol limit, officers said.
