Picture taken 26 November 2006 shows the longstanding leader of former separatist rebels in Senegal's Casamance region, Father Augustin Diamacoune Senghor giving an interview to journalist Ibrahima Gassa at the Val de Grace hospital in Paris. Diamacoune Senghor, has died in a Paris military hospital, aged 78, his movement announced 14 January 2007. "He has died," the secretary-general of Diamacoune's Casamance Movement of Democratic Forces, Jean-Marie Biagui, told AFP in Dakar.
