WSS-ETHIOPIA-SLUMS
This general view dated 17 January 2007 shows a densely populated area in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where residents live in tin shacks built next to one of the most luxurious hotel in Africa, the Sheraton Addis (C, Yellow building). Residents of the town and cities in Ethiopia live largely in slums with almost no facilities and no access to running water and other basic hygenic services, due to a urban strategy which failed to be launched.
