SENEGAL-CASAMANCE-POLITICS-DIAMACOUNE-FRANCE
Priests stand around the coffin of the ex-leader of armed separatists in Senegal's Casamance region, Augustin Diamacoune Senghor, 20 January 2007 in Ziguinchor, Casamance, during a funeral mass at the cathedral of the city. The prelate was later buried in a cemetery for Catholic priests in Brin, 10 kilometres (six miles) to the west of Ziguinchor, the region's main town, as youths waved white handkerchiefs as a sign of peace. Diamacoune's movement announced on January 14 that he had died in a Paris hospital, aged 78, two years after signing a peace accord. AFP PHOTO/ SEYLLOU
