MIDEAST-PALESTINIAN-ISRAEL-UNREST-POLITICS
A Palestinian man gestures as he looks at the damage caused by an explosion at al-Waha holiday village north
of Gaza City, 23 January 2007. Armed men claiming to be from Al-Qaeda blew up an abandoned holiday village in Gaza, calling it a message to Fatah's strongman in the coastal strip, Mohammed Dahlan, security sources and witnesses said. There has never been any proof of Al-Qaeda having a presence in the Gaza Strip, where Dahlan is an arch-rival of the ruling-Hamas party. AFP PHOTO/MAHMUD HAMS
